Working with youth in foster care can be one of the most rewarding volunteer experiences. Our partner organizations often need help engaging youth through mentoring, providing additional childcare for families and transportation. If you want to engage with the Foster Community but aren’t quite ready to foster, this is the path for you!
As a volunteer, you’ll engage with youth and their families to provide much needed services in their time of crisis. This type of service is extremely rewarding and it is an excellent introduction to working with youth in care and fostering. Here are just a few of the things you could do:
- Drive a child to court appointments and visitations
- Mentor a teen as they make the transition out of state care
- Professionally photograph youth who are ready for adoption
- Provide child care to foster families
Please fill out this form and you’ll be matched with organizations and the opportunities that are right for you. Once you submit the form, you can choose which of your matched opportunities might work for you. You’ll then be contacted by a representative from the organization to become a part of our Foster Community!
